City residents have notified City Hall of recent calls being made soliciting donations for the "Rockford Area Fire Fighters Association" . While this may be a valid fund raising event it is not sanctioned by the Rockford Fire Department and any monies raised will not benefit your local fire department. Please contact the Rockford Fire Department at 616-866-1553 with any questions you may have.

Winter Parking Regulations

The winter parking ban goes into effect on November 15th, 2009. This ban requires all vehicles to be removed from on-street parking between 2:00 am and 6:00 am . Residents are reminded that this ban is in effect regardless of snowfall. As you know, snow fall is often not predicted and to insure that the Department of Public Services has clear streets for snow removal it is important that all parked vehicles are off the roadway. Residents are asked to remind visitors to their home of this ban. The parking ban is in effect until April 1, 2010. Should you have special circumstances that would not allow a vehicle to be removed, call the Police Department at 866-9557 to discuss other arrangements.
